The short version: you own your data. We store it securely in Australia. Your plan renews monthly and you can cancel anytime. Our AI is helpful but not guaranteed accurate. Don't abuse the service. Below are the full terms.
The davis planner ("tdp", "we", "us") is a web-based task management application at thedavisplanner.com. It is provided as a progressive web app (PWA) — there is no native mobile app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to use tdp. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity on your account. One person per account — accounts cannot be shared. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@thedavisplanner.com.
tdp offers three plans: Free ($0), Plus ($4/month), and Pro ($8/month). Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and auto-renew unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a month. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Stripe handles all payment processing; we never see or store your card details.
You own everything you create. Tasks, notes, tags, and list content belong to you. We store your data on servers in Sydney, Australia (Supabase infrastructure), encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We do not sell, share, or monetise your data. Third parties that process data on our behalf:
If you delete your account, we remove your data within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before automatic deletion.
The AI chatbot (Pro plan, 150 messages/month) is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. AI responses are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs. You must independently verify any AI output before relying on it. We do not use your task data to train AI models — data sent to Anthropic is processed solely to generate your response and is subject to Anthropic's terms.
You must not use the AI chatbot to generate illegal, harmful, harassing, or deceptive content, or to attempt prompt injection, jailbreaking, or security bypass.
Email digests are sent via Resend from noreply@thedavisplanner.com. You choose the time, timezone, and recipients for each list. Emails include only your task data (due today + overdue items). You can disable alerts at any time from the Email Alerts settings. We comply with anti-spam regulations — all emails include identification and are only sent to configured recipients.
Calendar sync connects tdp to your Apple or Google Calendar. You authorise us to create, update, and delete calendar events that correspond to your tasks. We access only the calendars you explicitly select. Sync failures or delays may occur — always verify important events in your native calendar app. Calendar sync is also subject to Apple's and Google's respective terms of service.

We'll always contact you before taking action on fair use concerns, except in cases of clear abuse or security threats.
You agree not to use tdp to:
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for data loss, missed deadlines, or calendar sync failures. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including lost profits, lost data, or missed deadlines.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice except in urgent security situations. Upon termination, you have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Perth, Western Australia.
